WebDec 14, 2002 · The 429/460 heads that have chamber volumes of 72-76cc's are considered closed chambered heads. These are usually D0VE, C9VE, C8VE. The open chambered heads are considered anything from D3VE and later with cc volume greater than 90cc's, or I believe.
